Czech version

Drive plays contemporary bluegrass music inspired by a wide range of other musical styles. Its sound is enhanced by the outstandingly powerful and energic lead vocals of Veronika Němečková. Drive sings in both Czech and English. Its repertoire consists of original songs, as well as music written by other authors. Banjo player Martin Stehlík enriches the band´s sound also with his electric banjo. Drive plays often at festivals and in clubs around the Czech Republic, as well as abroad. Also, together with its guests, the band gives regular concerts in the music club Stara Pekarna in Brno. In 2002, Drive appeared at prestigeous Czech country, bluegrass and folk contests: Zahrada, Porta, Trampska Porta, Banjo Jamboree. The band was successful in all of them: it even received the prize for the best band at Porta and Banjo Jamboree. Drive was invited to take part in the popular TV show Country Estrada hosted by Ivan Mladek in February 2003. Veronika Němečková has been voted as Vocalist of the year in last three years by the Bluegrass Association of the Czech Republic. In May 2006 they released a new CD called Čekání na zázrak (Waiting for a Miracle).
